These differences in endowments generate income inequality. WebStructural change induces allocative efficiency of resources across sectors, and is thus essential for productivity growth, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. However, there have been some growing concerns about structural change in African economies. The recent growth rates appear devoid of structural change to these economies.
